1. Why are we doing this?
This movement is not ultimately about buildings, budgets, or projects. It is about people. The resources will help remove barriers, expand our ministry capacity, care for our neighbors, develop leaders, and create greater opportunities for people to encounter Jesus.
2. How were the projects determined?
All projects will stem from the three The Every One Movement priorities: Church Mobilized, Communities Loved, Campus Maximized. We prayerfully considered both our greatest opportunities and our greatest obstacles, recognizing that we could not do everything at once. From this exercise, we identified the priorities that best align with our mission, vision, values, and ministry goals and will allow us to focus our time, resources, and energy where we believe they can have the greatest impact. The projects selected will help mobilize our church through discipleship and leadership training, expand local and global outreach efforts, and improve our campus to be more accessible, safe, and welcoming. It also includes paying off our mortgage, allowing more resources to go directly toward ministry rather than debt. 3. What is the financial goal, and what does it include? (and what is the One Fund approach?)
The total two year financial goal for The Every One Movement is $18.5 million. This financial goal incorporates a One Fund approach which combines $11.5 million in regular tithes and offerings and an additional $7 million of additional giving for ministry expansion.
The One Fund approach ensures our current ministries are fully funded during the campaign and that we can continue to grow our ministries as planned. This approach changes from having separate budget and campaign “cups” to a unified system. Instead of asking whether each individual fund has enough money to carry out our ministry plans, we ask what ministries we believe God is calling us to support—and then allocate our overall resources accordingly.
4. When will we know if we have funding for all these projects, and what measures will ensure transparency in the use of those resources?
We will have our first indication of the expected level of funding to be received for ongoing ministry and ministry expansion projects on Celebration Sunday, (November 15, 2026) when we announce the commitments made by our church family. Based on those commitments and the early donations received, we will begin to proceed with plans for the projects. At the beginning of 2027, we will share plans and timelines for the projects. We will use the campaign webpage to provide ongoing updates about giving, project progress, and stories of impact. Some projects may happen sooner than others based on funding, planning, permitting, construction timelines, and ministry priorities. We are committed to handling every resource with integrity, transparency, and accountability. Clear communication, regular updates, and strong financial oversight will guide this process.
5. Were inflation and rising costs for construction accounted for?
n determining project costs, we worked with estimates from our architects and builders and developed a range for anticipated expenses. Rather than using the lowest estimate, we planned conservatively by using the higher end of the range and adding a contingency for unexpected expenses. This approach is intended to provide room for changes in construction costs, inflation, market conditions, and unforeseen circumstances.
6. What is the length of the giving commitment?
The Every One Movement is a two-year journey. We’re inviting everyone to make a commitment to take their next step, or two, or three to go above and beyond their normal tithes and offerings over that two-year timeframe. The two years encompass January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2028 – with a “first fruits” offering in November of this year that gives the option to spread it out over three tax years.
7. How do we make our official financial commitment?
- Sunday, October 25, 2026 — Information on Commitment Cards
- Sunday, November 1, 2026 — Commitment Sunday: We will come together as a church family to offer our commitments.
- Sunday, November 15, 2026 — First Fruits Offering: We will have an opportunity to make an early gift toward the movement through a special First Fruits Offering.
8. Can I adjust my commitment if my circumstances change?
Yes. This is a flexible, faith-based commitment, not a contract. If your situation changes at any point, you can update your commitment accordingly. Your commitment is made in faith, not obligation, and you are always free to adjust it as needed. 9. How can we involve our whole family in The Every One Movement?
The Every One Movement is an opportunity for the entire Purpose Church family to participate, including our youngest members. Parents can encourage their children to pray about what they might give or save toward a goal. Kids and students will also have an opportunity to think about who is their “one more” and have activities that encourage them to connect with the movement. Every one means every one – big or small.
10. Are there ways to join The Every One Movement beyond my financial commitment?
There are many ways to participate in The Every One Movement! This is a journey of faith, encouraging each of us to follow God’s guidance and take our next steps of obedience to reach one more person. Begin by seeking God’s direction for your involvement through prayer. Here are several meaningful ways to get involved beyond your financial support:
- Pray: Pray for the vision of The Every One Movement and for the people we hope to reach.
- Serve: Look for opportunities to serve our church family, our neighbors and our community. The movement is about mobilizing people, not simply raising money.
- Invite: Invite someone to church. Welcome a new neighbor. Introduce someone to a ministry.
- Share: Share what God is doing in your life and invite others to discover who Jesus is.
