With a belief that Kingdom values enrich lives and restore communities, we work with others in our city and valley in holistic outreach. Through our local missions, we see lives changed in the city of Pomona and in the broader Inland Valley region with the message of God’s wonderful salvation.
Gifts for Foster Teens & Youth
We have a growing partnership with the Department of Child and Family Services and we have committed to blessing 200 children and youth with Christmas gifts this year. That’s 100 foster care teens here in Pomona and 100 youth from our Purpose microsite locations in the most vulnerable parts of Pomona! This is a fun activity to do with your children, grandchildren, or as a family or life group.
Sign-up on Sundays in the lobby at the Local Missions table November 3 – 17. Turn in gifts by November 24.

Annual Thanksgiving Feast
- Friday, November 22, to package our turkey meals
- Monday, November 25, to prep the food
- Tuesday, November 26, to serve at the event
Pomona Youth Club
At Purpose Church’s Pomona Youth Club, homework helper volunteers work with local PUSD students once or twice a week to encourage them in their academic endeavors while building lasting relationships with caring adults. Besides homework help, the children enjoy snacks, a Bible lesson and times to play board games and sports. Volunteers are always appreciated. We can train you, so sign up today to be Jesus’ love to our local community.
Monthly Community Meals
Every 1st Saturday, volunteers help feed, clothe and offer showers for homeless and vulnerable people of Pomona. Volunteers serve food, distribute clothes and hygiene items and offer prayer for our guests. Volunteers needed anytime from 7am-3pm. Register below.
Microsites
Our 3 microsites continue to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the hardest places in the City of Pomona. This includes the neighborhoods of Angela Chanslor (South side), Del Rosa (Westside) and the Lopez Urban Farm (Central Pomona). At our microsites, we evangelize and disciple the community members of Pomona. We train leaders for urban ministry and send them to the mission fields to establish neighborhood and home gatherings for the unchurched. Over the next 7 years, we hope to launch 7 additional sites, totaling 10 sites, eventually reaching 500 neighbors annually with the Gospel. We are currently fundraising and applying for grants to support our efforts. We continue to build volunteer teams to help with teaching, meal support, worship, and kids ministry at microsites.
ACTS Thrift Store Partnership
Any church donations (clothing/furniture/etc.) can be dropped off at Acts Thrift Store in Pomona. Please record your donations under “Purpose Church” and they will be credited to our church account. Then, we are able to give out thrift store vouchers to our community members who are in need. Donations are accepted at ACTS Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 3PM (subject to change). CARING FOR THE ORPHANS
There are over 35,000 children in foster care in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. And over 140 million orphans worldwide. God has called his Church to care for children with no families, and Purpose Church is answering the call. Will you join us?
The mission of Chosen is to:
- Promote foster care and adoption
- Support foster, kinship and adoptive families
- Advocate for teens and transitional age youth in foster care
- Partner with local foster and adoption agencies

CARING FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS – FREEDOM BAGS
We assemble new bags and prepare donated bags for human trafficking survivors with all the emergency essentials they will need when they begin a new life of freedom.
