lives changed throughout the world.
Come and live your life on mission with us. No matter who you are, there is a way for you to get involved and make an impact in our world. We believe in sending groups around the world to share the Gospel, as well as supporting missionaries who are on the ground in countries around the world.
Operation Christmas Child
Help us reach our goal of filling 750 boxes (turned in or online) this Christmas season to bless children around the world through Operation Christmas Child! These shoeboxes are filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to them in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. This is a fun activity to do with your children, grandchildren, or as a family or life group. $10 shipping cost is requested to help get the boxes to their overseas destinations.
Pick up a box on Sundays in the lobby at the Operation Christmas Child table November 2 or 9. Turn in boxes by November 16.
If you can’t make it in-person to pick up a box you can build a box online!

MEXICO
The Reacomodo trip centers around Purpose Church’s long-standing partnership with Iglesia Bautista Bethania, located in the Reacomodo community—about an hour south of the U.S. border. This local church serves in an area marked by both physical and spiritual need, reaching out to people who may still be bound by religious tradition but have yet to experience true freedom and relationship with Christ. Our mission is to come alongside the church to encourage, serve, and share the hope of the Gospel together.
During the trip, the team will participate in a variety of ministry activities designed to support both the church and the surrounding community. These include prayer walks through the neighborhood, small development or improvement projects for the church or local families in need, and hosting a fun and engaging children’s day filled with games, crafts, and connection. The team also spends time inviting families from the broader community to join in, creating opportunities for new relationships and Gospel conversations. The trip concludes with worship and fellowship alongside our partners at Iglesia Bautista Bethania, celebrating what God is doing in and through the Reacomodo community.
ZAMBIA
Join us as we partner with Purpose Church’s ministry friends in Zambia to support and encourage the work God is doing there. This trip focuses on coming alongside local pastors and their churches as they reach their communities for Christ—investing in youth, training and encouraging church and community leaders, and deepening relationships through shared ministry and worship.
During the trip, the team will have the chance to visit our partners at Living Water Baptist Church, as well as Purpose Christian Baptist Academy – a thriving school founded in partnership with Purpose Church that now serves over 250 students. The team will spend time engaging with students and teachers, encouraging them in both their faith and education. The
majority of the trip will be spent with Pastor Gift Musantu, a faithful leader who is impacting lives across Zambia. Together with Pastor Gift, we will visit local schools to connect with students and educators, share about faith and culture, and participate in church gatherings focused on leadership encouragement and worship.
Beyond ministry, the trip will include opportunities to experience Zambia’s incredible beauty through a safari adventure and a visit to the world-famous Victoria Falls—a time to reflect on God’s creation and all He is doing through His people in Zambia.
RAINBOW ACRES
Rainbow Acres is a faith-based residential community in Camp Verde, Arizona, that empowers adults with developmental disabilities—known as “Ranchers”—to live with dignity, purpose, and belonging. Founded on Christian values, Rainbow Acres provides a nurturing, ranch-style environment where residents grow socially, vocationally, and spiritually. The ministry emphasizes respect for each individual, fostering independence, and cultivating a Christ-centered sense of community and care.
Mission teams serving at Rainbow Acres support this mission in two main ways: by building relationships through daily life and activities with the Ranchers, and by helping improve the campus through facility and grounds projects. Whether engaging with residents in recreational programs or lending a hand to enhance the property, volunteers play an important role in strengthening the community and reflecting Christ’s love through both service and connection.
PERU
In Peru, we are partnering with John Gunderson. He is the son of Purpose Church’s former lead pastor – Glenn Gunderson – and now serves as a missionary in Peru with his wife, Natalia. Their ministry focuses on reaching
children and youth through programs that share the love of Jesus, foster relationships, and create opportunities where young people can grow in faith and hope.
The team will have the opportunity to serve through children’s ministry events, youth outreach programs, and community engagement—helping to encourage local leaders and strengthen the ongoing ministry in the area. This trip offers a hands-on opportunity to invest in the next generation and see how God is working through Purpose Church’s global partnerships.
To conclude the trip, the team will have the chance to visit the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, reflecting on God’s creation and faithfulness before returning home.
ALASKA
Kodiak Baptist Mission (KBM) is a long-standing Christian ministry located on Kodiak Island, Alaska, dedicated to serving children, families, and the local community through Christ-centered programs and relationships. Founded in 1893, KBM has grown from a small mission school on Woody Island into a thriving ministry that combines faith, education, and practical service. Their goal is to share the love of Jesus by meeting both spiritual and everyday needs, investing in people long before crisis occurs, and strengthening families through consistent care and community involvement.
Today, KBM operates a variety of programs including a licensed childcare center, youth camps, after-school activities, and family-focused community events. They also host retreats and outdoor programs that give children opportunities to learn, grow, and experience God’s creation in meaningful ways. Mission teams play an important role in supporting these ministries. Those joining the team can expect to serve alongside KBM staff in children’s programs, youth activities, and community outreach, helping to build relationships and create an encouraging, faith-filled environment. It’s an opportunity to serve the people of Kodiak through relational ministry, daily interaction, and sharing God’s love in both word and action.
LATVIA
Our Latvia mission trip partners with Pastor Maris Vitols and his church in the beautiful town of Talsi, located in western Latvia near the Baltic Sea. Latvia is a small Northern European country with deep Christian roots but a growing need for renewed faith and community engagement after decades of Soviet influence. Many local churches are now rebuilding spiritual life through youth programs, outreach events, and collaboration across denominations—all aimed at helping people rediscover the hope of Christ.
During the trip, our team will help lead a three-day Kids Camp (VBS) with games, crafts, and music for children from Talsi and nearby areas, offer English lessons for teens and adults as a form of relational ministry, and assist with practical service projects such as helping local families or supporting Talsi Christian High School. This trip offers a meaningful opportunity to serve alongside Latvian believers, encourage the local church, and share God’s love through both word and action.
KENYA
We are partnering with Empowering Lives International (ELI) for a vision trip to Kenya to see firsthand how God is using this ministry to transform lives and communities. Founded in 1995, ELI is a Christian organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through Christ-centered empowerment. Their mission focuses on equipping individuals and communities with practical tools and spiritual training that lead to long-term change rather than short-term aid.
ELI’s work includes operating children’s homes that provide education, care, and discipleship for orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as running training centers that teach sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, and life skills. These programs help families and leaders develop the confidence and resources to build stronger communities rooted
in faith and self-sufficiency.
During the trip, our team will visit several ELI ministry sites, engage with local believers, and connect with churches to encourage pastors and congregations through prayer, fellowship, and worship. This journey is designed to inspire a deeper understanding of ELI’s impact and to explore how Purpose Church can continue partnering in meaningful ways to support the ongoing work God is doing in Kenya.
SE ASIA
Our Southeast Asia mission trip is an opportunity to come alongside our global partners who are transforming lives and communities across Thailand and Laos. The journey begins in Thailand, where the team will have a chance to observe ministry projects that bring hope through sustainable development. These include a water project that provides life-giving irrigation to remote villages, and a long-standing coffee initiative that equips farmers to grow and sell coffee instead of cultivating opium—helping entire communities find dignity and stability through honest, sustainable work.
The heart of the trip will take place in Laos, where our partners serve street children and at-risk youth with compassion and care. Their ministry provides safe housing, education, and a loving community for children who might otherwise be forgotten—and through it all, the hope of Jesus is shared in both word and action. The mission team will spend much of their time at the ministry’s day center, leading activities, building relationships, and investing deeply in the lives of the youth. This trip offers a powerful glimpse into how God is working across Southeast Asia, inviting us to be part of bringing hope, restoration, and the love of Christ to those who need it most.
CONGO
Our partners in the Congo primarily minister through medical work and education, providing healthcare, training, school programming, and
community development in regions often plagued by poverty, instability, and limited access to essential services. They also have strong ties to HEAL Africa, a Congolese-led Christian medical organization working in Eastern DRC that integrates medical care, community outreach, education, and spiritual discipleship.
During the trip, the team will spend time visiting clinics, schools, and ministry sites to observe and learn. They will offer encouragement through worship, prayer, relationship, and presence—especially among local leaders and children. While we won’t be doing large-scale projects this time, this trip is about laying a foundation of understanding and partnership, where team members return with insight and vision for how they might serve more tangibly in future missions.
GLEANINGS
Gleanings for the Hungry is a Christian ministry based in Dinuba, California, and part of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Their mission is to feed the hungry both physically and spiritually by producing and distributing dehydrated soup mix and sun-dried fruit made from donated produce. These meals are sent to partner ministries around the world to support those in need.
Mission teams serving at Gleanings can expect a mix of hands-on service and spiritual community. Volunteers help with food production—such as sorting, drying, and packaging donated produce—as well as assisting with facility upkeep and other team projects. Daily worship and devotional times are also part of the experience, making it a meaningful opportunity to serve, grow, and impact lives globally.
